The Kazoo Natural Y Branch Bird Perch is a forked Java wood perch for cage birds. It comes in small and medium sizes, suited to budgerigars, cockatiels, and similarly sized birds.
Java wood is dense and rough-textured, which naturally varies the grip surface across the perch — this variation helps maintain foot health by preventing pressure points that develop on uniform dowel perches. The Y-branch shape gives birds two resting positions and can be hung or mounted, letting them cling at different angles to exercise their feet and leg muscles.
Bird owners choose the Y Branch perch because it does double duty: it functions as a perch and doubles as a chew target, giving birds something to investigate and strip without damaging the cage itself. The sustainably sourced Java wood holds up to persistent beaks.
